We know that some people are shy about dancing, but at The Crystal Ballroom you’ll soon find that there’s no need to be shy. Our instructors are funny, entertaining and just a blast to be around. You’ll have so much fun learning to dance that you won’t even remember to be nervous. Even our first-time beginner students, find that they become comfortable in a matter of minutes in the hands of our professional instructors. If you’re not a beginner, then dancing probably doesn’t make you nervous. Maybe you look forward to the opportunity to show your skills and really shine. Well, you’re in the right place, too!

Types of Dancing Students
We find that different dancing students come to us with different needs and goals. Here are the main categories that we find most of our students fit into. Take a look and see if one sounds like the kind of student you’d like to be!
- The General Dancing Student
This category is for anyone who is interested in learning more about dancing’s do’s and don’ts. The focus is on becoming a good “social party dancer”. It only takes about 24 lessons to become a good social dancer!
- The Hobbyist Dancing Student
These students continue taking Dance Lessons and going to Ballroom Dance Parties beyond the working basics. They have made dancing their hobby, and it keeps them happy and healthy. Much like someone would go to the gym three times a week, these folks dance three times a week. Imagine how awesome you would be if you took a dance lesson once a week for the next two years!
- The Competitive Student
It is serious fun to be a competitive student. These students enjoy performing and all the glory that comes with it. Weekend excursions to Ballroom Dancing Competitions all over the country fill these dancers schedules. You can start competing at a beginner level after only 20 lessons!
REMEMBER! You do not need a partner; try dancing with a professional teacher.
